Our Partners.

We collaborate with global recyclers who share the same vision and passion to practice and implement zero waste solutions.
After believe that textile waste is a global problem that can be best solved by international collaboration. We work with recyclers, institutions and artisans - both locally and internationally - to ensure we are able to recycle inclusively and impactfully.

TRA are on a mission alongside us to combat the effects of the textile industry as the second largest polluting sector in the world.

TRA offer channels for waste to become a resource by providing recycling solutions for fashion, uniforms and other textiles whilst creating ‘closed loop’ programs one garment at a time.

With 60 years collective experience and a multitude of large fashion, uniform and bedding clients, Textile Recyclers Australia are a known and trusted leader in the textile recycling industry.

Upcycling Projects

Not everything needs to be broken down - some textiles are ready to become something new.

Approximately 10% of what we collect takes a different path. Rather than being exported for mechanical recycling, these textiles go directly to local designers, schools, and makers across Australia and New Zealand who give them a second life through upcycling.

This might mean fabric offcuts becoming fashion, old garments being reimagined into furniture or homewares, or textile waste being used as raw material for art and education projects. The goal is always the same - nothing goes to landfill. We've participated in a number of Melbourne Design Week events, supporting designers through textile supply and bringing the circular economy to life through collaboration.

We're actively growing this network of onshore upcycling partners and are always open to connecting with makers, designers, and institutions who share our belief that textile waste is a resource, not a problem.
